On Sept. 26, the Philippine capital Manila and its neighboring provinces suffered one of nature's worst beating. Typhoon Ondoy, international code name Ketsana, poured more than a month's worth of rain in six hours, submerging most parts of the bustling metropolis, drowning at least a hundred people as of press time. *The MakatiMed medical missions in Cainta/Rizal area will run for one week beginning Monday, September 28. Doctors and personnel will visit evacuation areas to provide consultations and distribute medicines as needed, while the Health Services Program (HSP) center, located at the Ground Floor of MakatiMed, will be open 24/7 for one week to assist those who were affected by the typhoon.
