I'm alive?

I know ive been neglecting my blog, but the past couple of months have been crazyyy. With just a few more weeks left before this year ends, I promise to blog more often ( haven't I said that more than 1,000,0000 times? LOL )

This usually is the time of the year when I blog like crazy trying out Halloween looks. Unfortunately, I kinda lost track of time and next thing I knew it was Halloween already. Out of fresh ideas, I stole my boyfriends costume mwahaha.

He actually did the skull part on me, isnt he awesome? haha I did his makeup but hmm I think he did better than me. Well, what can I say? Cant compete with an artist haha. Oh and we used snazaroo for this. I would die if we had to use my regular makeup for this haha

its HALLOWEEN again!!

My favorite Holiday is Halloween! I really go nuts about a month before and start thinking up ideas, I usually dont decide until the last few days but I really do love preparing for it and imagining what I would go as..hahah

Well, our Makeup Classes ended a week ago. I didnt think it was going to be stressful until BAM! it hit me, overwhelming stress. I dont think I did my best for my finals/portfolio. I was one of the last who finished, because I kind of crammed doing 5 of the 8 looks in one day.

We were asked to bring one male model, we thought we were just going to do regular Male grooming (which takes about 15-20 minutes) but surprise, surprise! We were shown a peg of a male model with a mask, and we had to do a look that inspired us of a mask.

I thought of doing an Oni mask. I just thought of a simple one, but the awesome boyfriend found a better inspiration:

This is what I was able to do with the limited time. I had about 2 hours to do it, thank goodness for Snazaroo! I used Snazaroo for this because I had limited time and didnt have a decent red eyeshadow to use. I had the suppliers contact number, didnt know that they changed suppliers so one day before I didnt know where to get them and didnt know what to do! Im glad Carla was able to spot them when she went around to look for things for her finals.

It isnt perfect, I see some lines that I wish I blended more. I wish I had been more careful with the black eyeliner because it was extremely difficult to correct the mistakes. It was also my first time to use Snazaroo, and didnt know it dried quickly. I placed the yellow on before blending, but by the time I got to blending some of the parts it was already dry and it was starting to flake off. But oh well, at least I learned something new!


I will be posting the other looks I did for our finals within the month, were going to be graded soon, so wish me luck!!

I would like to thank Philip, for being awesome as always. He did a great job modelling for my finals, dont you think? He was also there on both days to help me out and make sure I didnt get too stressed out. =)

Halloween Makeup Trial

Here are a few pictures of when I tried out a few Halloween makeup. Pictures from Halloween night to follow. I had a blast! To think that there was a storm --signal no 3! Boy was I glad to wake up at 12 noon to find that it was sunny! But I lost hope, and gave up on looking/making a costume. So i just decided to go as myself (scary! haha)

Anyhoo, here are the practice makeup pictures :)

Me and my brother tried the exposed muscle made by Petrilude. We used elmers glue for the skin which was so so and icky red e/s from Coastal Scents. SUCKS :/



Doesnt look like exposed muscle but burned person with skin partially peeling off. FAIL LOL



So we decided to try Terminator Next. With elmers glue again instead of latex. But the red e/s just ruined everything.

Decided to do a Halloween face again since I havent in quite some time. Only, I get a little impatient in the middle of it. I made a couple of errors when I started doing it, but was determined to finish it. Well it turned out okay, just okay. Im not going to redo this for Halloween anyway so thats fine.

The coastal Scents green e/s kept on falling out. So i just stopped placing green. And I think it has too much teeth haha. This skeleton didnt have good Dental Care, she shouldve gone to the Toothfairy LOL

Halloween

Here I go again, a few more days before Halloween and I still havent decided what to go as. Totally hyped about everyone else's makeup and costumes but I cant think of anything for myself haha. One makeup im doing for halloween, I got to try to do last night. hawttt haha I love it! Took pictures of it, but its nowhere near perfect and it would totally be awesome to post the Halloween pictures of it with the whole outfit and all. Wee *giddy with excitement*


Ive done pirate, beyonce?, cowgirl, cleopatra, manananggal (when i was 12 hahaha - for those of you who dont know what that is, its this -> WIKIPEDIA), fairy, witch, some of the others I dont know who I was going as I just wore something different. I just know that Halloween is big in my life lol. Anyway, who else is excited? and what are you going as? (dont worry im not going to steal your idea hahaha) or what have you gone as the previous years?
