Flashes of pink and peach accented an otherwise predominantly black, grey and nude collection for Stella McCartney in Paris yesterday morning. This acted as an appropriate introduction for the washes of colour that were to be seen later on in the day, at Emanuel Ungaro, Yves Saint Laurent and Kenzo, all of whom came over all girlie using fruity palettes of cerise and apricot for their beauty look.

These are great additions to my slowly growing pink army, I've been really loving pink/coral eyeshadows lately! My current favorite is Hot hot hot which was from the Spring Colour Forecast. What's your favorite pink eye shadow? =)

Hot hot hot!

Im not referring to the weather, but yes it's definitely a hot hot hot day! 93 F! gahh! The air is so heavy, I feel like a pancake wrapped in butter with syrup! yuck! I just got out of the shower, and i want to shower again hahah. I probably will in a few.


But back to my entry, Hot hot hot is an eyeshadow from M.A.C.'s Spring Colour Forecast. Its a lovely shade but one of those will I ever get to use this kind of eye shadow. But im a fan of color, and I like combining unusual shades together. The moment I saw and swatched Hot hot hot I knew we were meant to be...hahah.


I actually like the shade on the lids alone, but I tried to use it with other colors the other day and i liked it! But forgot to take a picture so i'm redoing it now to share with everyone here hehe

crazy lashes was trying some of the mascaras in my stash that I havent used.

What I used and how I did it:

M.A.C. Hot hot hot - applied on the lid blended towards the crease
M.A.C Expensive Pink - applied on the hollows and blended towards crease and browbone
M.AC. Charcoal Brown - applied on crease and blended
M.A.C Embark - applied on outer V blended towards mid of the crease

• Lined inner lower lashline with expensive pink, mid lower lashline with hot hot hot and blended towards expensive pink, embark on outer lower lashline blended towards hot hot hot
• Lined lower waterline midway and upper lashline with in2it gel liner
• Curl lashes, applied mascara (dont forget the lower lashes!) and voila.

Paul and Joe Birthday Bash

About a week ago I was luckily invited to attend Paul and Joe's Media Launch. It was for their 3rd birthday bash and the launch of their 2010 Wild Flower Spring Collection. Beauty Queen Nina Ricci Alagao was there as a Guest Makeup Artist. We were treated to an afternoon of beautyand skin care tips from Miss Nina and Dra. Villanueva of Belo Medical group.

4u2 Gemtone Quad: Moonstone

As promised in my previous post, im going to do a review on the 4u2 quad I used for the semi smokey i did for my finals. 4u2 is a brand of makeup that can be found in SM Department stores or at Watsons. Ive always noticed the stalls, because of the colors, but ive never taken a closer look at the products. One day, I was strolling around the mall looking for things I needed for school, I chanced upon a stall and decided to swatch some of the eye shadows, since I saw some of my classmates with a few eyeshadows from U2. I immediately was drawn to this palette!

Rich, yummy colors!

I was drawn to the colors. Yes I know I have a ton of neutrals, but the colors looked so rich and vibrant I couldnt say no. The pictures do not give it justice! All the shades have a hint of pink to it making it extra extra warm haha. It just had my name written all over it!


Why you should buy it:
- It's available locally (Philippines)
- It's relatively cheap compared to high end brands. Im not quite sure how much I got this for, I think its around 300-400 pesos. (4 shades for half the price of a MAC eyeshadow!)
- The colors are rich and beautiful! And great color payoff! Hardly any fall out
- The shades are to die for (I know ive said that already but it really is pretty haha).
- Theyre all shimmers which is new, I rarely like anything thats shimmery. But despite it being shimmery the color payoff is good no need to use a matte base if youre using this as a lid color.


What you should consider:
- Im very careful with my things. If youve seen my traincase, you will know that the bottom compartment even has bubble wrap haha. I have dropped my traincase once, and nothing broke thank goodness! this palette, however, broke, for no apprent reason. I dont know how that happened, I just opened it and saw one of the e/s broken. My friend had already told me that this particular brand tends to crack or break easily.
- If you avoid makeup with parabens and talc, this isnt for you!
- The expiration date irks me, I bought this not more than a month ago. And the expiration date is on 041010 (April 10, 2010?) thats a few days from now! I didnt see that when I purchased it. Make sure you check the expiration date before you purchase!


Overall, I really love this quad. Wil definitely go back and check the other shades that they have. They have a ton! I just liked the quads better than the eyeshadow duos, saves space on my already cramp traincase.

M.A.C. Spring Colour Forecast Launch + Swatches

Its here!! The Spring Colour Forecast Collection! I dont know about you, but im nuts about colour. Pink and orange = love. haha. The last time I liked so many things in one collection was Style Warrior. I wasn't going to check it out, but as i was scouring all the M.A.C counters for the Girl Boy Browset, I saw Mikee of M.A.C. Glorrietta. I asked when Spring Colour was coming out and he said they're having the launch/ demo on saturday and invited me and the rest of my class. So there, how could I resist not going?

Looking for inspiration

Ive read or heard from someone that Makeup Artistry goes beyond what is typical. The same goes when looking for inspiration. It shouldn't be limited to just beauty magazines, find inspiration in everything that you see. I am not quite there yet, where the way the sun hits the pavement inspires you to create a look haha so im sticking with mostly looking at other peoples work. Which I have been doing for the last 2 days. I blame it on not having makeup class last saturday. I need my makeup fill for the week! Darn it! haha Plus im really starting to get bored with typical makeup or perhaps getting bored with putting makeup on myself .

Random blah, I know. Just posting another EOTD :)

Used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to make the colors pop more on my skin tone.
Black e/s on the crease looking a little crude (forgot to put primer on entire lid which
makes it harder to blend, but I will try...lol)



Blended the black a little bit more with random
orange shadow and expensive pink

Ive always wanted to try these. But at $9-$11, I was afraid i'd like them and get all shades hahaha. Im a lucky happy girl, I cant complain. And Thank you Mom! haha Got these along with the Brush set and many other things. Christmas Morning indeed! :D

909 Steely (almost gunmetal black), 809 Lofty (pink champagne color),
817 Nervy (Brown mocha color)




It comes with a Mini Brush for application which is good because I just messed up a
brush after using it with a black cream base :/



And it has this application well, which is also great since my steel mixing palette
gets a little too crazy with colors when I do my makeup

This is a thick application, a lot comes out when you first puncture the tube

I will be sure to use this next time I put makeup on but for now here is what I think..

Why you Should buy it:
- Good e/s bases. Id say theyre comparable to pain pots
- You only need a small amount (will work better too)
- Very Pigmented
-Comes with an application brush

Local Makeup

I am not a brand snob or anything, but Ive noticed that on most of my eotd's (if not all) I only use M.A.C. eye shadows. I like M.A.C. because of the color range. Not just for eyeshadows but powders and foundations as well. But if I had all the money in the world, Id probably spend it on other brands too. I choose brands that work and dont just buy things because of the name. Like, I dont have foundation from M.A.C. because the formula doesnt work for me, it breaks me out. I like UDPP but fgured id get more with a paint pot.

Anyhoo, which brings me to the a few items I purchased recently. I went to The Enterprise Center Beauty Luxe Sale with Caby and also met Jaimie! =) I didnt really find anything that perked my interest. But as we were leaving, we passed by the Ever Bilena Stall. They had some products there and everything was P100 only (around $2). Figured id get a few things and try them out.

Blushes, Foundation, Palettes and Lipstick. (That brush was from Landmark 29.75 only! hehe)

The biggest surprise was the lipstick. They are quite nice. The first one doesnt have a name but its a Nude matte lipstick. I like the color, but its very drying. Best to use with something under. The 2 other lipsticks are Pro longwear in Destiny and Cherish. Destiny is pinky brown while Cherish is a bright red pink lipstick.

Swatches: No flash and With Flash (Matte Nude Lipstick, Pro longwear Cherish and Destiny)

Whay you should buy it:
-Good pigmentation and color payoff
-Cheap! hehe Im not sure how much this is regularly but I got mine for 100 each only
- The pro long wear lipstick are very creamy

What you should consider:
- Exfoliate lips with a toothbrush before using. The matte lipstick is especially drying and accentuates lines and peeling lips.
-Cherish (the bright red pink) kinda stains? I applied it and removed it within a minute and I noticed that my lips had a red tinge to it still (that might be a good thing, if you like red lips hehe)
-The pro long wear lipsticks are creamy and have a tendency to bleed or smudge, best to use with a lip pencil and blot on a tissue paper.

I also got to try the eyeshadows that came with the palette. And I think theyre worth trying. Its very powdery/chalky but the color pay off is really good. I think its even better than the Coastal Scents e/s. But heres what it looks like 7 hours later. After being under the sun and commuting haha. I used UDPP as primer and it did kind of fade away a bit and creased. I still like it anyway.
