I just realized that I want more shoots that allow me to go nuts with color. I really enjoy going crazy mixing and matching loud, bold and bright colors! :)

Looking for inspiration

Ive read or heard from someone that Makeup Artistry goes beyond what is typical. The same goes when looking for inspiration. It shouldn't be limited to just beauty magazines, find inspiration in everything that you see. I am not quite there yet, where the way the sun hits the pavement inspires you to create a look haha so im sticking with mostly looking at other peoples work. Which I have been doing for the last 2 days. I blame it on not having makeup class last saturday. I need my makeup fill for the week! Darn it! haha Plus im really starting to get bored with typical makeup or perhaps getting bored with putting makeup on myself .

Used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to make the colors pop more on my skin tone.
Black e/s on the crease looking a little crude (forgot to put primer on entire lid which
makes it harder to blend, but I will try...lol)



Blended the black a little bit more with random
orange shadow and expensive pink



Black eyeshadow a little more diffused hehe

- MAC Carbon for Crease
- MAC Femme Fi Brow highlight
-Loreal Bare Naturale Olive Eyeliener
-Benefit Bad Gal Mascara (Meh, I dont like it) haha

Viva Brazil!

The College I went to hosts a yearly Beauty Pageant to celebrate its foundation week. I decided to go since I loved the theme this year, Brazilian Carnival! A good excuse to go crazy on the eye makeup haha and I think one of the reasons I got into makeup or what started me getting more into makeup was joining the said pageant a few years back LOL (See my entry about that HERE. hahaha) I kept on getting frustrated because they made my face too white or used a very light foundation making me look gray, when the official picture was taken I looked like a lion. seriously. haha. Anyway, my frustration eventually grew into wanting to learn more, so that if ever the time comes that I needed my makeup done I could just do it myself and voila! here I am now :)

Anyway, enough blabbing. This was supposed to be a short entry to just show my EOTD hehe.

Straying from neutrals for a while but nothing too crazy hehe. I love color! :)

M.A.C. E/S in nylon and goldmine (for inner corner and lid), orange? and amberlights(crease), Purple/pink e/s from coastal scents shimmer palette and Twinks (outer lid and crease)

Stila Kajal eyeliner in Onxy (waterline)

Inspiration

I know ive been whining about not seeing and wanting to be under the sun lately. Then I saw Petrilude's Space makeup inspired by the sun. To go to the video tutorial click THIS. Anyway, he is one of the best gurus on youtube so, subscribe! :) Cant wait for his videos for this years halloween (I get a little too excited when I think about halloween lol)

This has got to be one of my favorites! Pictures dont do any justice and I tried my best to make the colors show but again, phones camera kept washing out the colors. Attempted to do the look (ambitious! i know haha) substituting what was needed with whatever I had.

What I used:

EYES
For the white base I scraped some M.A.C. Vanilla E/S and mixed with primer (didnt have any white base/primer)

I wouldnt use a blush for this, just a bronzer. But since the colors are washed out with my phones camera, applied a blush just so It doesnt look too pale

Hope I gave justice to Petrilude's tutorial and that you guys like it! :)



Side note:
I was at the grocery today when I saw some vegetarian Chicharon (Vegetarian Pork Rinds- I think thats what you call it. veggie pork rinds sounds ridiculous). hahaha. I havent had any in soooo long so decided to try it. Surprisingly good, even questioned if it was really meat free haha. Im stocking up on these. LOL
