Swatches: NYX Paris and Power

After beheading most of my lipstick and transferring them into a palette, I realized that I mostly have neutral shades or extreme pinks oranges and red. So I decided to get a few more, I was a few weeks late though. There were only a few shades left at Digital Traincase . But I'm happy with my purchases, thanks Sol!

The 2 lipstick shades I got, Paris and Power. Both shades are pretty =)

I really like Paris, Power is a pretty shade too but I dont think it goes well with my skintone. Power has hints of lavender but it more on the pale pink shade. While Paris is a very girly pink shade.

Looking for inspiration

Ive read or heard from someone that Makeup Artistry goes beyond what is typical. The same goes when looking for inspiration. It shouldn't be limited to just beauty magazines, find inspiration in everything that you see. I am not quite there yet, where the way the sun hits the pavement inspires you to create a look haha so im sticking with mostly looking at other peoples work. Which I have been doing for the last 2 days. I blame it on not having makeup class last saturday. I need my makeup fill for the week! Darn it! haha Plus im really starting to get bored with typical makeup or perhaps getting bored with putting makeup on myself .

Used NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to make the colors pop more on my skin tone.
Black e/s on the crease looking a little crude (forgot to put primer on entire lid which
makes it harder to blend, but I will try...lol)



Blended the black a little bit more with random
orange shadow and expensive pink



Black eyeshadow a little more diffused hehe

- MAC Carbon for Crease
- MAC Femme Fi Brow highlight
-Loreal Bare Naturale Olive Eyeliener
-Benefit Bad Gal Mascara (Meh, I dont like it) haha

Nyx Lippies

A post delayed by 3 weeks. haha. Have been busy so didnt get the chance to write the post. Finally had the chance to try out some NYX Round Lipstick for myself. Ive no idea why I didnt try any of their products while I was in the US. I think I was too crazed over too many products at the same time LOL.

Got NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose, Indian Pink and Orange Soda from Digital Traincase. I was happy with my purchase! Except for orange Soda (does not suit my coloring) thinking of keeping it in my kit or including it in my blog sale hmmm.

Why you should buy it:
-Very Creany, Glides on very smoothly
-Feels like a Lustre lipstick but looks like Satin
-Pretty colors and wide range of shades

What you should Consider:
-Some of the shades dont look pretty on me (hahaha)


Overall, I really do love them. I just wish I could swatch them first before buying. Will post btter swatches next time or use them on a FOTD. Ooh and i got a Jumbo Pencil in Milk too, which I am love-love-lovinggg! :D I need more! hehe
