Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Oh my, I cant believe I forgot my birthday! Well not my own birthday, but my blogs birthday! My blog has been up and running for more than a year now. 1 year and 22 days to be exact - March 26! I started blogging last year when I got really bored in the US and didnt know what to do with my spare time.


My very first beauty/makeup post was about my new-then coastal scents palette and I did a green, yellow and black EOTD. Looking at it now, I see that the blending sucks haha. So, in honor of my blogs first birthday, im re doing the same look to see how much I have improved in the last year LOL.

This was the look I did about a year ago. Its funny looking at it now, knowing where I went wrong and what I didnt get to do. And pretty amazing how much i've learned about makeup through school, practice, research, and everyone from the blogging community!

In honor of my blogs first birthday, I will redo the same look an see if I do a better job at it hahaha! =) Happy Birthday to me!! Will post the updated green/yellow EOTD next. Also I will be coming up with something exciting soon, so please check back =) Have a great week!

New layout...Again!

Hey everyone! Finally got around to changing my layout. I downloaded a free template a few months ago and decided to tweak it without considering screen resolutions. People were telling me that they couldn't read my posts because the left side of the page was missing haha. Being the procrastinator that I am, it took me a while to look for a new one. Until I found this template a few days ago while surfing around the net (forgot where but will link back when I remember hehe) EDIT: Thanks to Template Block for my cool new layout :)

Anyway, tweaked it a little bit this morning since Makeup classes for today were postponed for next week (BOO!) I hope I didn't mess up this new layout haha. Please let me know if you're having any problems with the page so I can try and fix it hehe. Still slowly tweaking the page, hopefully be done in a few days :)

1. I usually go to a mall or watch a movie by myself when I feel stressed out

5. Love to experiment and try new dishes. But I kind of obsess over a certain food for some time.

Hey Everyone!

First post!

So I think I should make this as interesting as I can. haha. I'm Maui, 22 year old R.N. from the Philippines. Still "technically" unemployed. Graduated from school October of 2008 and currently bumming in the US, though I should be studying. I do love my profession, but since i've had the time to explore things that i've always liked, it seems that im going further and further away from my plans haha.

I am on the road to self discovery LOL and want to have a blog to have something to look back at someday and to post random thoughts and whatever for people who are bored enough to read them.

EDIT:
Okay, went back to read it and saw nothing interesting haha. So here re random facts about me:

• So like a lot of people here on blosgspot, Im also a makeup junkie whose only and biggest limitation is money haha. I constantly find myself lemming on makeup and it has been the only thing that keeps me amused the whole day.

  
  

• I am the weirdest LEO you will ever meet. I do posess most of the traits but I just go about things in a different way. I do get what I want, without trying much haha (of course that doesnt apply to everything. But I am a very shy person- I think? haha

• I was taught to be mindful of everything I do or say, which I kind of hate now because I constantly find myself censoring or softening up whatever I have to say.

• I am extreme. Often times I like things that are very different or are the opposite of each other

• I appreciate honest and brutally frank people. And seek them when I want an opinion on something.

• I do not like to surround myself with negative people. Actually me and Caby are sort of wondering if we hang out most of the time because were positive or we always end up being together because we only think were positive but are actually negative HAHAHA

• I have a handful of good friends and I love them to bits! Im not patient enough to pretend that I like someone when I dont.
