Inspiration

I know ive been whining about not seeing and wanting to be under the sun lately. Then I saw Petrilude's Space makeup inspired by the sun. To go to the video tutorial click THIS. Anyway, he is one of the best gurus on youtube so, subscribe! :) Cant wait for his videos for this years halloween (I get a little too excited when I think about halloween lol)

This has got to be one of my favorites! Pictures dont do any justice and I tried my best to make the colors show but again, phones camera kept washing out the colors. Attempted to do the look (ambitious! i know haha) substituting what was needed with whatever I had.

What I used:

EYES
For the white base I scraped some M.A.C. Vanilla E/S and mixed with primer (didnt have any white base/primer)

I wouldnt use a blush for this, just a bronzer. But since the colors are washed out with my phones camera, applied a blush just so It doesnt look too pale

Hope I gave justice to Petrilude's tutorial and that you guys like it! :)



Side note:
I was at the grocery today when I saw some vegetarian Chicharon (Vegetarian Pork Rinds- I think thats what you call it. veggie pork rinds sounds ridiculous). hahaha. I havent had any in soooo long so decided to try it. Surprisingly good, even questioned if it was really meat free haha. Im stocking up on these. LOL

Loud Mouth!!

Tried playing with pigment samples I got a few months back. I thought they looked pretty but my phones camera kept washing the colors out.

So decided to play with lip stuff. As a rule, when applying makeup make sure you emphasize one thing and keep the other things subtle/neutral or at least not as loud. This avoids the clown look hahaha. :) I usually dont wear bright shades of lipstick cause they tend to make my lips look bigger, I already have big lips so I dont want to look like they've been stung by bees lol

Lined the lips to shape and define them, filled out outer corners with the lip pencil and applied gloss

Blue and Black :D

Lashes I got from evilbay. 6 pairs for $4 I think. Dont really remember. Had to do that odd angle to show how insanely long they are haha.

and a few of the blue e/s from the shimmer palette from Coastal Scents.

Dont worry you wont need as much to get the same look, lol. I think I use too many e/s. I promise i'll use just 3 or maybe 4 or 5? (haha) the next time. This started out looking summery. mixed blue and yellow to get a green shade in between but I got bored with it haha sooo thats what came out.


Bought a new book the other day and finished it in one sitting. I found it funny in a sick twisted way haha. Its not that horrid but it may not be funny to some.

Preparing to review for NCLEX: A bunch of stuff. I love school supplies haha. I am quite obsessive with notes and usually focus better when I have the right pen and the right kind of paper. Look! I have a pencil case! haha I have too many pens and pencils I have a whole box full of writing stuff.

Dirty Mirror, Uneven skin tone haha. I hate that I rarely see the sun because of the gloomy weather (aside from the fact that I normally wake up late afternoon). I have to go about 2 shades darker with fdtn instead of my regular shade to make my face match with my arms. Lets not even go the legs haha. I need sun! oh well. Self tanning soon :)

Juicyy :D

A girl's best friend or an insomniac's best friend. I know I have blogged about The Concealer/ Color Correcting Palette from Cinema Secrets. But really, this stuff is amazing! I call it my "industrial strength concealer" haha because I never found anything that works as well. It not only covers up the dark circles under my eyes, it does a good job of covering red spots and blemishes.

I cant say that the pictures are true to color. My phone keeps washing out colors :/ However, this is kit #2





I use a spatula and a stainless steel mixing palette to keep it sanitary hehe. Excuse the dirty brush hehe, I use a filbert brush (paint brush) to apply it - got this brush at a craft store (I love Michael's! lol)





I put stickers at the back - sort of like cheat codes. I kept forgetting which one was for what when I first got this hehe.

This works well if you set it with an invisible or no color setting powder before applying foundation. Regular powder would clump and it would be a big mess if you attempt to top it off with foundation. I use RCMA's no color setting powder. And I know I keep saying this but, that stuff is amazing. Wont ever clump!! So dont let the simple packaging fool you. Youre much better off with this baby than the more expensive ones (eg. MUFE and M.A.C.'s are a bit pricy)

3.2 oz. of goodness in no frill packaging!! - Comes in a salt shaker like bottle. Have had this for about 4 months. Still have so much left!





Got some small sifter jars so I can put some in it and have it in my bag - dont want people to think I carry Cajun Seasoning or something like it with me all the time. lol

Woke up really early and had nothing else to do soo....

Click on the (+) to make the slide go faster. I didnt put the slide on fast cause it made me dizzy haha.

Anyway, the most important (makeup) piece of advice i've heard is to have faith and keep going! lol you know how when you start off you think "mehh, this isnt working"? Well the whole thing wont come together until youre finally done so unless youre in a rush, just keep going and have faith that it will turn out nice! haha makes sense to me :)

Though I obviously didnt finish that one up there haha. The lash kept falling off (used the shady glue that came with the lashes) gave up on it and after I got the left eye right, I took it right off thinking I was going to fall back asleep.

I woke up at 3:30 am thinking that the Perseids Meteor Shower was this morning- actually still confused if it was this morning or tomorrow. But I did go out to check and the sky was dark and full of clouds, so that was kind of pointless. Then I couldnt go back to sleep, as usual. 0.0

I dont know how I feel about this birthday thing haha. Nonchalant perhaps. I dont feel like celebrating. Obviously still in my BLAH mood. doesn't help that the weather sucks and I dont sleep like a normal person. Cant I at least have a good sleep tonight? I seriously need to move more. I feel slushy 0.0

I think there are too many whitening (ekek) products in their line. Nothing against people who like those, I just personally think its ridic. I love my color hehe. But I am eyeing that Microdermabrasion kit. Its originally almost 1300 and during the sale it will be P389.00! how insane is that. Not quite sure if its any good though. Have any of you tried it? I think its a dupe of the one from Olay. I have not tried the one from Olay long enough to see if there were any changes in my skin but I love how it made my face feel soft after.


I know i said I didnt intend on celbrating my birthday. But Michie kept on asking what my plans were and lo and behold I found myself in Tides with a bunch of good friends. For years, I usually spent my birthday with 3 people: Philip, my brother and Kathy haha. We never planned anything, but on my birthday we would find ourselves together haha. So this year was kind of a change since the 3 were there and so were other people haha. Major thanks to those who came! I know yall are tired from work haha but thank thanks! :) And for those I didnt get to invite sorry, it was a spur of the moment thing. Those who didnt come, can suck my toes! lol. Ohh and thanks mom for the flowers and for the gift. And dad too! hehe thank you! thank you! Also to those who sent birthday greetings and well wishes. Thanks for making my birthday a whole lot better! :D

Twerkout

Transferring pictures from my blackberry was a breeze. Until I installed the Desktop Manager. Now I have to run that Roxio Media Manager which bugs me to no end. It hangs about 10 times before I get the pictures I want. hassle. It used to take me less than 5 minutes. And noooowww about an hour or so. It is testing my patience!!

Anyone know how I can make Blackberry Media Sync work again without having to uninstall the Desktop Manager? or how I can get my computer to recognize the sd card and just get the pictures straight from my computer? (sighs)


I said I was going to do so many things today. But I got stuck at home for most of the day. Caby and other friends came over to pick me up and we hung out in BF.

*Quick updated review about the Coastal Scents Eyeshadow:

I havent had the chance to really test them out. Yes I swatched them and they're pigmented. Im more on the "dark side" lol so its a tad more difficult to make the colors pop. I use UD Primer Potion as a base and normally I pack on the eyshadow to make it more vibrant. I just noticed that this doesnt work with Coastal Scents. If you pack on the color, it wont stick and will eventually end up as fall out :/ and it would go back to the semi faded color. I think it would be best to use a similar colored base (green eyeshadow base for green eyeshadow). Oh wells.
